As our client s Director, IT you will be responsible for the global management, strategy and execution of IT infrastructure and systems across our client s company. Your primary mission is to understand and anticipate the technology requirements of a rapidly-scaling business, and to lead a team that proactively meets these needs.

Outline of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and develop team members
  • Support corporate datacenter and production datacenters spread across 5 continents
  • Ensure 24/7 operational capability of mission critical IT functions
  • Service customers in over 90 countries with hundreds of servers
  • Engage and collaborate with business leaders to identify key IT needs
  • Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as Marketing, Development, HR and Sales, as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure high-quality end-user support for both local and remote employees
  • Develop and manage IT Operations budget
  • Drive continuous improvement of IT processes
  • Define and manage appropriate IT related policies
  • Serves as an advocate of his/her business stakeholders into IT and helps evangelize the role of IT and technology back to the business

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience in the IT field with demonstrated technical and professional development
  • 5+ years leading IT teams and providing technology leadership
  • Large enterprise wide datacenter operations experience
  • Datacenter design and installation
  • Experience developing and managing a budget, and negotiating with vendors
  • Deep understanding of modern computing technology, systems and network architecture, information security, and cloud-based services
  • Ability to build strong rapport and relationships with customers and gain in-depth understanding of customers problems and needs
  • Create and sustain high level relationships with vendors, providers, and contractors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly to a high level of proficiency
  • Positive, optimistic and pioneering mindset, able to address complex challenges and drive forward despite minor setbacks
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical solutions to stakeholders with differing levels of technical expertise

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working for a cloud SaaS company
  • Previous experience working in a startup environment
  • Proven track-record of managing complex technical projects
  • Detail Oriented and customer focused
  • Adaptability and desire to contribute to company growth
  • 5+ years experience in direct support of IT Technical Infrastructure components at multiple sites
  • Previous experience with 24 X 7 support

Physical Demands:
  • This position requires operation of a PC and viewing information on a PC monitor;
  • Must be able to sit for many hours each day;
  • Must be able to communicate via telephone;
  • Willing and able to travel as needed both domestically and internationally.
