The Price Quality Compliance (PQC) Associate Analyst will be responsible for a combination of operational tax & fee oversight, project work, and report development and analytics. The core responsibilities would include review of internal data and the development of audit and control processes around content management. Additionally, the PQC Associate Analyst would support the Revenue Optimization department by developing reports containing vital information used for pricing, auditing and validation.
Required Job Responsibilities/Competencies:
Oversee day-to-day communication with Market Managers regarding tax rate changes and disputes.
Develop audit and control process around content management practices.
Implement new and enhanced processes related to tax rate & fee research and management.
Perform the upload of rates, including the identification and loading of custom data,
Develop a strong understanding of company data logging and data architecture in order to be able to assess the impact of potential changes to tax & fee decisions.
Develop and maintain compliance and audit reports to support the operations of the Revenue Management department.
Perform data analytics to assist in the audit of pricing and research.
Assist in company projects and initiatives including defining requirements, developing test plans, and conducting UAT.
Collaborate with multiple inter-departmental parties including Expedia Technology and business partners to develop project goals and to launch project and program initiatives.
Work with Finance stakeholders, business sponsors, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to develop and review project designs and business requirements.
Research tax rates, vacation rental registration, fees, and rules.
Assist in supporting tax, fee, and registration research through technological solutions.
Bachelor s degree or in pursuit of a Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Math, Science, Physics, or Information Technology.
Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Finance or Data Analysis experience in a technology or fast-paced travel-related organization.
Strong data architecture skill set including a solid understanding of database concepts and data logic.
Working knowledge of SQL and ability to analyst results and provide recommendations.
Prior demonstrated Business Analyst and/or hands on Project Management experience.
Proficient with all applications of the Microsoft Office suite, including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and Outlook preferred.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including a working knowledge of the following functions; VLOOKUP, concatenate, sorting and filtering data, duplicate record removal, and misc. Validation formulas.

Proficient knowledge of eCommerce a plus.
Experience in accounting and sales/use tax within a retail organization
