Our fast growing client is ready to hire an Enterprise Solution Architect with B2C (Business to Consumer) experience to their team.

Job Description

The Enterprise Solution Architect provides high level technical strategies, standards, tool choices, and frameworks which together build out the software architecture. In addition, this role is very hands on and will require development of prototypes and proof of concepts using modern technologies and languages. This position requires strong leadership capabilities as well as a thoughtful, creative approach to predicting future concerns and architecting solutions that solve for them. This individual will also be responsible for communicating with developers, architects, and business personnel on a variety of business and technical matters.

  • Fully understand the Enterprise Architecture and IT/Business strategy
  • Work with and provide technical leadership to both front and back-end developers to craft optimal software solutions that are reliable and scalable
  • Create service framework that supports all client application models (desktop, mobile, native mobile, SaaS, etc)
  • Create prototypes and proof of concepts for new ideas, partners, or technologies
  • Craft solution designs and do design reviews for complicated or broad-scoped projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with data services team on high level designs and documentation
  • Apply analytical thought processes to quickly understand technical challenges discovered during the life-cycle of an initiative
  • Learn new technology concepts swiftly and comprehensively
  • Evaluate how security impacts the architecture and design of solutions and ensure secure programs are produced
  • Communicate often with the business units and explain the value of technical architectures, solutions, and strategies
  • Perform critical development tasks on projects when necessary to produce or maintain momentum on a project
  • Collaborate on defining future state software architectures and developing gap plans
  • Collaborate extensively with technology leaders and technical delivery teams to ensure alignment of best practices and standards

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, EE, ECE or related discipline preferred
  • At least 2 years experience in working as a software/solution architect designing and implementing large-scale e-commerce systems
  • At least 7 years experience in creating clear, concise documentation for a multi-tier architectural model and to discuss technical matters effectively with business end users
  • Ecommerce experience required
  • Great communication skills with both technical and business thinkers
  • Demonstrable skill in creating architectural diagrams and documents
  • Knowledge of enterprise application integration, including SOA, ESB, ETL environments and an understanding of integration considerations such as process orchestration, custom data integration, and master data management
  • Proven knowledge of business operations, objectives, and strategies
  • Previous development experience in multiple disciplines (ex: Java, C#, JavaScript, GO, Python, Ruby, HTML, AJAX, Angular.Js, JSON, DDL, NoSQL, or relevant open source platforms)
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration (ex: Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc)
  • Deep understanding of design patterns, principles, and frameworks
  • Working knowledge of UI/UIX design principles
  • Background in database modeling and ORM technologies
  • Extensive experience integrating with 3rd party products (both business and technical)
  • A good understanding of the architectural principals of cloud-based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure and application servers
  • A good knowledge of the security operations, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications
  • Good experience with mobile applications and how they interact with various back end architectures
  • Track record of being proactive, identifying gaps, making constructive suggestions and follow through to resolution
  • Proven ability to creatively problem-solve for various types of issue in multiple disciplines
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership


Bachelor or Master s Degree from an accredited institution with a Computer Science focus or related field. At least three years of experience working as a software/solution architect, designing and implementing large scale systems.
