Operations & Digital Printing Coordinator

The primary coordinator for all jobs that need to be run on the digital transfer printer.
Responsible for conducting daily and regular preventative maintenance on digital printer.
Responsible for maintaining an inventory of all printing supplies and for planning material for seasonal peaks or special projects and submits POs for signature.
Works closely with the Graphic Art Staff members who generates the files and has the expertise to set up the designs for efficient running of the machine. Makes adjustments required on the production printing end of the process based on logos, materials, etc.
Preps proof sheets for each order for production to finish preparing (weeding, cutting, etc.).
Tracks transfers released for this production step and holds transfers that have been completed in weeding and transfers supplied by outside vendors until the work order has been released for production.
Puts production packages together with the work order, including a weeded example, and a transfer count for the order.
Responsible for scheduling print production to match demand and cancel dates.
Responsible for training a back up to run the machine effectively when absent or on vacation.
Works closely with the Heat Transfer department coordinator, Supervisors, Floor Leads and staff in the Heat Department to help determine solutions to issues, improving processing efficiency, provide training information about materials and application.
Acts as a backup for the Operations Administrators with regard to printing work orders and completing daily incentive processing.
As an essential function of this position, the employee must be able to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and be congenial with other employees and customers at all time. The employee must not pose a threat to the safety of others.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience and average competency with all Microsoft Office software, e.G. Excel, Outlook, Word,
PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator.
High detail orientation. This position requires the ability to cross-reference numbers, look for process errors, read notes to highlight or direct orders to the right production location.
Accurate processing of all orders is critical to avoid staff downstream in the processto figure out something that seems incorrect.
Ability to learn and then follow repetitive processes with a large volume of orders and daily paperwork-related transactions.
Ability to discern color and transfer quality for all orders run on the digital transfer printer.
Ability to write and maintain a procedure book for anyone to follow for the digital printing process and maintenance.
Ability to learn how to run basic Illustrator or other graphic programs to set up simple jobs on the digital printer.
Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks flowing through this position on a daily basis is important.
Seeks direction to establish a priority system; knows how to prioritize based on that system.
This position may require some flexible work hour when large projects are going through the department.
This includes OT or shifting hours slightly to cross-train or work with heat transfer production staff on other shifts.
Works at a quick, dedicated pace. This position operates with a high degree of independence.
Has the ability to use small tools and follow maintenance handbooks for equipment they are responsible for maintaining.
